Abstract
Tanacetum balsamita L. (Compositae) which is distributed in north of Iran and cultivated in Azarbaijan province. Costmary-water is used for medicinal purposes like heart invigoration, and relaxing the body.
This plant also used As strengthening, wormicide, and nervous disease treatment.
As part of screening programme on the aromatic plants of Iran, we are going to report the chemical composition of the essential oil from this plant which is named locally “Shahecparam”.
