| Abstract | ||
| This research was conducted to investigate the status of nutrition and feeding management of industrial dairy farms of Markazi Province and comparing present status and desired status. Then, farms were divided into 3 categories of dairy cows including 30 to 85, 86 to 160 and over 161 heads and according to the random classification sampling method 20 percent of the dairy farms were chosen. Information of feeding management status collected from the farms by completing arranged questionnaire and direct data recording. In 21 percent of the studied farms are used the feeding of forage and concentrate separately and in 26.31 percent of the studied farms are used the feeding of total mixed ration (TMR). The results showed that difference between received nutrient and nutrient requirements compared to NRC 2001 per head in the high producing cows, according to dry matter intake (kg), net energy for lactation (Mcal), crude protein (g), calcium (g), and phosphorus (g), was 0.23, -1.66, -226.43, 69.12 and 8.99. The difference between consumption and estimated values NEL and crude protein for high producing cows was significant(P<0.05). Also all classes showed significant differences for Ca (P<0.01) and p (P<0.05) except the second class for P. The results of this study showed that in most of the studied farms, the consumption of nutrients is not accordance with the requirements of cows. | ||
