| Zinc is an essential mineral and accepted as a trace element in the animal nutrition and for its role in biological enzymatic pathways. This study aimed to investigate the effect of oral administration of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) on some of the antioxidant parameters of semen plasma, quantitative and qualitative properties of Arabic ram sperm in the non-breeding season. Twelve adult Arabic rams (about 3-5 years old, 70 ±2.1 kg) were randomly assigned to receive one of the three levels of dietary ZnONPs (control; 0, group 1; 40 ppm and group 2; 80 ppm). Results showed that using different levels of ZnONPs increased the activity of superoxide dismutase enzyme (SOD) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of semen plasma significantly compared with the control group (P<0.05). Motility (74.83%), viability (76.90%), semen volume (1.76 ml) and sperm concentration (1418×106/ml) were significantly (P<0.05) higher in ZnONPs supplemented groups compared with the control group. The sperm morphological abnormalities reduced significantly in treated groups (10.46 and 9.07%) compared with the control group (12.66%; P <0.05). Also, the results suggested that 80 ppm level of ZnONPs increased the functionality of sperm membrane (44.38%) compared with other groups (37 and 35.66%, respectively for groups 1 and control) (P<0.05). Based on the results, using 80 ppm level of ZnONPs lead to an improvement in the activity of superoxide dismutase enzyme (48.62 ml) and total antioxidant capacity of semen plasma (111.88 µg/ml) compared with other groups (P<0.05). In conclusion using 80 ppm level of ZnONPs had a positive effect on the quantitative and qualitative properties of sperm and lead to a significant betterment in the activity of some antioxidant parameters of Arabic ram semen in the non-breeding season. | ||

| روی از عناصر کمنیاز مهم در تغذیه حیوانات به شمار میرود. این عنصر نقش ویژهای در بسیاری از فعالیتهای آنزیمی و تولیدمثلی ایفا میکند. امروزه نانوذرات به علت کاهش اندازه ذرات و همچنین افزایش نسبت سطح به حجم کاربردهای متنوعی را در بسیاری از صنایع دارند. هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی تاثیر نانوذرات اکسید روی خوراکی بر برخی شاخصهای آنتیاکسیدانی پلاسمای منی و خصوصیات کمی و کیفی اسپرم قوچ عربی در فصل غیر تولیدمثلی میباشد. با توجه به فصلی بودن تولیدمثل در قوچ و نظر به اینکه این دام در فصل غیر تولیدمثلی با کاهش کیفیت اسپرم مواجه میشود، لذا این مطالعه در فصل غیر تولیدمثلی صورت گرفته است، تا بتوان از اثرات احتمالی نانوذرات اکسید روی در مواقعی که دام در شرایط کاهش عملکرد تولیدمثلی است، مطلع شد. بدین منظور از 12 رأس قوچ بالغ نژاد عربی با میانگین سن 5-3 سال و متوسط وزن 1/2 ± 70 کیلوگرم در قالب طرح کاملأ تصادفی با 3 تیمار و 4 تکرار استفاده شد. تیمار اول سطح صفر، تیمار دو سطح ppm40 و تیمار سوم سطح ppm80 از نانوذرات اکسید روی را شامل میشد.قوچها به مدت 49 روز از جیرهی پایه حاوی جو (64درصد)، یونجه (10درصد) و کاه گندم (26درصد) استفاده میکردند. سطوح تعیین شده نانو ذرات اکسید روی داخل کپسولهای خالی قرار داده شد. کپسولهای حاوی نانوذرات اکسید روی هر روز با استفاده از بلوسخوران به قوچ-های تیمار دو و سه خورانده میشد. 42 روز پس از مصرف نانوذرات اکسید روی، اسپرمگیری به صورت هفتهای یکبار و به مدت 4 هفته انجام شد. نتایج نشان داد درصد تحرک (83/74)، زندهمانی (90/76)، مقدار حجم مایع منی (76/1) و غلظت اسپرم (106×1418) در تیمارهای مکملسازی شده با نانوذرات اکسید روی نسبت به تیمار شاهد بهطور معنیداری افزایش پیدا کرده است (05/0>P). یافتههای مربوط به ناهنجاری مورفولوژیکی اسپرم نشان داد، نانوذرات اکسید روی بهطور معنیداری باعث کاهش درصد ناهنجاری اسپرم (07/9) نسبت به تیمار شاهد شد (05/0>P). همچنین نتایج گویای آن بود که سطح ppm80 نانو ذرات اکسید روی باعث افزایش درصد سلامت غشا اسپرم (38/44) نسبت به تیمارهای دیگر شده است (05/0>P). با توجه به نتایج، استفاده از سطح ppm80 نانوذرات اکسید روی بطور معنیداری باعث افزایش فعالیت آنزیم سوپراکسید دیسموتاز (62/48 واحد بر میلیلیتر) و ظرفیت آنتیاکسیدانی تام (88/111 میکروگرم بر میلیلیتر) پلاسمای منی نسبت به سایر تیمارها گردید (05/0>P). | ||
