| طی بازدیدهای انجام شده در شهریور و مهر ماه سال 1402، لاروهای نوعی شب‌پره در تعدادی از مزارع ذرت شهرستان ارزوئیه واقع در استان کرمان، در حال تغذیه از برگ‌ها، خوشه‌ها و دانه‌های گیاه میزبان مشاهده شدند. لاروهای جمع‌آوری شده تا زمان خروج حشرات کامل در آزمایشگاه نگهداری شده و پس از بررسی نمونه‌های پرورش داده شده و افراد بالغ جمع‌آوری شده در مزارع، با نام Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) که به کرم برگ‌خوار پاییزه معروف است، شناسایی شدند. این آفت که تا پیش از این گزارش جزو آفات قرنطینۀ خارجی محسوب می‌شد، برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش می‌شود. | ||

| During the monitoring of some corn fields in the Orzuiye region, Kerman Province, in October 2023, several moths’ larvae were observed while feeding on leaves, spikes and seeds of the host plant. The collected larvae were reared under laboratory conditions until emerging the adults. After examining the reared specimens and the collected adult moths, they were identified as Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) which is known as fall armyworm. This species which was previously being considered as an external quarantine pest in Iran, is being reported from the country for the first time. | ||
